Hello, Jeff. I hope you have solved your remote
issue. I noticed however that you stated you
had an HD box from Dish and that you have that
connected to your TV via and S-cable on input
video 2. Just to be clear in order to view HD
the box needs to be connected via component or
HDMI or DVI. I would hate to have you set up
your macros and then not be able to watch true
HD!
Good luck.

Thanks James but I had already corrected the problem. I used the supplied componet cable when connecting the receiver to the TV and plan to pick up an HDMI IF you think it will provide a noticeable difference from the componet cable. At the time, I had no idea that an S cable was only capable of 480i instead of 1080i. Nor was I aware when I purchased the TV that Dish Network only has 5 stations available in HD excluding the HBO package that I really care nothing about. Whe will the "required" shift to HD take place for the broadcast companies and networks?
Thanks for your help,
Jeff
