1) I have another MX-1000 here with a lighter background LCD without any "textured" appearance -- it seems a lot easier to see.
3b) I'd like that as well.
4) It couldn't be motion sensitive with the current hardware, but it could be set to come on all the time (as I pointed out in the review).
