I have a Hughes Platinum HIRD-45 Dolby Digital receiver with HDR-205 DVHS recorder as my primary DSS, and a Sony SAT-3 as my 2nd receiver.
The Hughes has a better user interface at the expense of being a little slower than the Sony, which is fine as it's still responsive enough and gives me a better guide, setup, etc.
The DVHS recorder records 5 hours of program in the same quality as the original, including Dolby Digital. I love the set-up.
