I got a Viewsonic 37' lcd from Costco. It has a built
in ATSC tuner. when I do an autoscan it will pick up
and program the digital channels from rogers (in moncton).
After I turn the TV off and back on again the Digital
channels are gone and I have to scan them in again. It
this a problem with my TV? Or is it just the way it works
on all TV's with ATSC tuners. Anyone else have this problem.
If it is the TV causing the issue I will return it.
I also got an analog TV With a digital cable box hooked
to it. So I am suppose to get the digital signal.

ATSC, incidentally, isn't a part of this equation since it only deals with antenna pickup of OTA HD stations. For tuning in digital cable channels you're using QAM. As for it not remembering those stations... this sounds like a television-specific issue since it doesn't happen on the two QAM tuners I have. Try contacting Viewsonic to see what they have to say.
