Give a codesearch a try, before giving up on the
tv.
1. TV
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT for two blinks
3. enter 9-9-1, wait for two blinks
4. enter 1
5. press and release CH UP, until the set goes
out
6. press SELECT to lock code in.
I tried that several times. I don't want to return the tv though, I bought it for my daughters room and it was a good price compared to other tv's and I do like it. Is there a universal remote you could recommend. I am looking at the OFA 6131. Would you recommend this one or the Phillips PHDVR11? I don't have a dvr connected in her room.
