I have a Yamaha MRX-100 Learning-Capable Multi-Function Remote Control (RS).

I need to either replace a part (I know what's broke) or replace the whole remote. This remote is an IR with 100 keys by way of a flip lid. 20 of these keys are not switchable, but are dedicated keys available for specific permanent assignment. 40 other keys become 80 keys by way of the flip lid.

I have had this remote for about 10 years, and call me a stupid caveman if you must, but I have been VERY happy with it. It has completely met my needs all this time and has only now become non-operational.

My question is, is there a remote control that is just like this one or very similar to it?

If there is not one that just simply learns/assigns approximately 100 keys, then could someone please recommend a remote that could come close to doing this as simply as possible?

I feel silly saying this, but I am in a great deal of distress over the demise of my MRX-100!! I REALLY like just going straight to a single key, pressing it and POW, the component responds!!

Please let me know. THANKS!!!
