The IR543 can control codes 11 through 16 your remote has the problem that it can not send them. If you had a PC programmable remote like a URCMX or Pronto or taught your remote with one of these, you could control 11 through 16. I have not heard of any problems (and since we sell most of them in the US I suspect I would) or have had any problems with bright or dim on my AH model.
