Is there anything that the Take Control/IRIQ can do that Pronto cannot?
I have had the IRIQ for about 3 days and have gotten it programmed to do some nice stuff -- but
it is very slow and clunky. The software is not very reliable, I have gotten numerous VDX Blue
screens (blowing away my configuration) and have taken to syncing often and exiting the program
to avoid it!
It will control my gear, but my Tosh TV wants it pointed at level of the eye. The unit seems to
throw a horizontally wide but vertically narrow beam.
The one thing I really like is being able to put a macro on the main menu (Wathc Cable)which will
set the equipment and then take me to a customized activity screen. This screen can have all the
appropriate buttons from the appropriate gear (on Watch Cable activity I can have Cable
Buttons, TV buttons, Receiver Buttons, etc...) I need to know if Pronto can do that - surely there
is some advantage to IRIQ!?
I have another week to return the IRIQ, if I decide on the Pronto (and if I can find it - no dealer
has had that I have found!)
