If you go back to the previous page of this thread (ie, page 9) and search for the posts I made on 6/15/00 and 6/17/00 you will see the info. At some point I will also add it to my main web site.

Basically, the P&P button is really a CD button, but it cannot be re-assigned to anything else. So, one method would be to use it for your CD player and use the CD button for something else (your receiver, perhaps). The other method is for when you have to completely program a device using advanced codes (like the Apex DVD player) or when you have to use learning for all the functions when the remote doesn't have a device code for you. In these cases, you might as well put the device in question on the P&P button.
