Thanks for your help, I'll be clearing it this when I get a chance on this long weekend and see if I can't do a better job of programming my Toshiba 2109. I might have to compromise on the direction keys again since the 1994 will only take 4 out of the 5 direction and enter keys.
This thread has been really helpful, If I didn't luck onto it I'd still be using 3 remotes to watch a DVD!
