How do I erase a button and learn a new command from another remote?

Here's what I have:

I entered the code and everything works correctly on the 1994 EXCEPT... the FAV/SCAN button. When I press the button, it scans through channels. I want it to select my favorites. I can't seem to erase/learn this command from my original remote control. Any suggestions?

Also, is there an extended code for this device? If so, how do I enter it?
