I have both the Cinema 7 (learner) and the 1994. Like some here the decision had to be made as to which one to use. Made up my mind today. The 1994 has the 0269 SAT code which operates 75% of the functions on our Dishplayer 7100. This frees up over 20 learn keys for other things. Now if I could only get the X-10 part of it to work (lack of docs).
