It sounds like the Device button that you are trying to put the 0313 code into is not set up to take a Receiver code. I don't have my directions with me right now, but if you remap the Device botton to be a Receiver type then you should be able to enter your 0313 code.

The AUX1 button is usually set up to accept a Receiver code. I had to remap the AUX2 button to a VCR type so that it would accept my DVD code. Before I remapped it, it was giving me that same long single blink feedback and wouldn't accept the code.
