I am a total DIY, I too have spent a lot of money* with URC and continue to use my remotes almost every day. Kinda hard to fault URC, they are still in the remote business while several others have come and gone. If URC came out with an updated CCP MX-5000 I would purchase day one.

In the meantime I keep an eye on Remote Two and Allonis SmartRemote.
