Unless you have a special attachment to 880’s (Shok I get it) there is no reason not to use an 890.
Screen problems on an 890? Haven’t seen one yet. I would gamble on an 890 outlasting an 880 that is 5 or 10 years older.
The 880 graphics are not as nice, the charging pin gets loose or breaks off (no, I don’t want to modify or repair a 5-10 year old remote), and I like the programming better on the 890. Only thumbs down is the download time on the 890.
