Client has used it for at least 15 years to access his home based Comcast box. Not the same as SlingTV BTW.
His work sent him around the world and he could retrieve his DVR programming and watch live TV as if he were home.
SlingBox reportedly shut down their servers November 9th.
With all the streaming options now, I can’t imagine a SlingBox imitation could exist and thrive.
I am not sure how YouTubeTV would work while traveling, as it is location dependent. Maybe could be effective but twitchy traveling the U.S., but doubtful out of the country.
