This section is for Phillips Pronto remote controls. The codes talked about here are the codes for the actual infrared signal being sent for each individual button.

The 4 digit codes you're aware of are codes to tell one remote to behave like another so 0001 means SkyQ, 0002 means SkyHD, 0003 means Virgin etc etc. The code numbers are the same as the examples I gave but you get the idea.

I like many others I suspect still have a Pronto Remote over a decade after they stopped making them because there still isn't a consumer device that comes close and I've looked.
