I'm after a remote for Kenwood's VR-505 receiver as well: The remote has RC-R0511 printed on it, and google tells me its part number is A70-1468-25 for others still on the hunt ...

Three online shops I checked were all out of the original remote, but both remotes [dot] com & net (related?) had replacement remotes newly built and programmed.

I have no affiliation with either company. I'm giving a replacement remote a shot ($30ish). I'll see and report back in a week or two.
