I've controlled the new system with an MX 850/mrf 260 using a mix of the codes from the three codesets (IR RF IP, I know IP shouldn't work but it does...) maybe it's just a nomenclature thing. All of the Cox Contour 2 boxes worked with the URC system.
Maybe Cox has a mix of different hardware in the field or maybe the Cox Engineers don't know what they are talking about. All I can say is that I've made it work with urc equipment.
I'm Not an engineer, but I play one on TV. My handle is Tweety but I have nothing to do with the organization of similar name. I just had a really big head as a child so folks called me tweety bird.
