Ding ding ding! We have a winner. The client is in the beta of the new Contour 2. They read me a letter from the engineering department that the new boxes do not have an IR capabilities at this point and due to the amount of responses from customers with Harmony remotes not working, they are actively working on a fix. It blows my mind, if this is true, that they overlooked something so critical.
The control system is an mx890 and mrf260. IR only. Cant mix IP ETC commands.
Its not an IP command set, Its still IR, just designed to be transmited from Remote to MRX via IP. IE: Using the URC ipad app)
URC database has 3 different X1 codesets One for direct IR out of the Remote, One when using a MRF RF Receiver and one for IP transmission.
No idea wht the difference are, but they are all IR drivers. Hes saying to try the one designated "IP".
The boxes are the CISCO 9865HDC.

With things like this and the new Apple TV/siri I fear the future of the control system.
New AppleTV works off IR just fine. Control systems arent going away anytome soon.
