Hello all,

After many years of good use, my 7000 won't charge anymore. I know the battery is good because I have a 6000 as well and the battery charges inside that unit and can swap the batteries back and forth and get some good use.

I also know that the fuse is good. Used an ohmmeter to verify that. What I did find was very interesting. It seems that an internal trace within the board went bad. I did continuity measurements between the power rail of the bulkhead connector to the fuse (from looking at the traces, you can see that power rail is connected to the fuse through a via in the PCB).

Anywho, long story short, if someone ever comes across their 7000 not charging, but the fuse is good, might wanna try a jumper from the power rail to the fuse.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity
