Stamford , CT based company is seeking a highly motivated and qualified candidate to join our professional audio-visual contracting firm as an A/V technician - system integrator of residential and commercial custom electronics ( CI )
The responsibilities of the CI include pre-wiring , set-up , configuration and troubleshooting of various electronic systems within , but not limited to the following categories :
- Video : installation of the projection screens , flat screen tv’s , projectors , video distribution systems . Thorough knowledge of the analog video signals hierarchy as well as HDMI signal distribution , various HDMI troubleshooting techniques . Ability to properly terminate and/or solder all major video connectors : BNC , RCA , RF etc.
- Audio : Microphone systems , PA systems , audio distribution , surround sound systems , understanding of various analog audio signals levels ( mic. level , line level , speaker level etc. ) . Ability to terminate and/or solder all major audio connectors .
- CCTV – small to mid size video cameras distribution , remote video security over IP networks
- IP Networking : installation , set-up and configuration small to mid size wired and wireless networking equipment . Set up of various network features , security , port forwarding , VPN’s etc. , Ability to terminate various networking / voice equipment and wiring ( RJ45 , RJ11, “ punch-down “ blocks etc. )
- Audio / Video Conferencing : basic setup and configuration : Polycom , Tandberg , Clear One
- Control Systems : setup and basic programming / troubleshooting of the following brands : URC , Vantage , Control4 , RTI , Pro Control , Crestron
Other: Construction – ability to read and follow blueprints , rough wiring , retro work ( wire “ fishing “etc. ) , Proper rack wiring / wire management . Communication with the clients , architects , other contractors .
Qualifications:
1. Min. 4 years experience in AV industry as an installer ,or apprentice
