Hi jwatkins80504

I have today made use of this info to open my TSU9400. Bought on eBay and it would not charge - soooo disapointed!!

Having opened it I also cleaned the rotary wheel out, the bearing was hard to move, now it's light as a feather.

Mainly I opened it to find why it would not charge. Upon going through the method you wrote, I was able to open it. I found one component was burnt out. I then fitted most of it back together so I could place it onto the dock holding it down with some tape both sides. Then with the charge light off I linked out the burnt out component. The charge light came on! Very relieved this worked and is perhaps a chance repair.

Since putting back together just now, the rotary wheel is not operating anything I assign it to. It works, by waking it up so it must be working. Don't yet know why remote functions will not do anything with it. Will look through other posts...

Cheers,
