Well the XG91 is not designed, rated for VHF (I just noticed I typed UHF before) so it will not be fair to assume it is not better than the eagle star mentioned. As long as an antenna is built as per exact specs it will perform equally , the only difference is manufacturing quality therefore long term lifespan under the elements. I agree though those Gain values are cheese. For instance I am currently using a monoprice 19 dollars antenna with built in pre-amp (it even had water inside when I reinstalled it the other day due to renovations) that works excellently, getting all channels in the GTA as per Daniels map/table except 67, and the 2 low power CTV repeaters here in mississauga.
