I've got a Marantz RC5400 that was not working. Disassembly and cleaning of the screen seems to have fixed it.

Silly me, I thought before I actually used it that it would be good to flash it with the latest firmware. I know, the latest is seven years old, but still.

Now it's asking me to calibrate the screen, and it fails every time. I've tried a half dozen times. Reflashed the firmware, no change. Tried the older firmware as suggested, and thesoftware won't let me do it.

When it finished the firmware downloads, it instantly went to Calibrate. When I downloaded a file to it, it never went out of Calibrate; I thought would restart at that point. I can only get the Marantz logo and startup procedure to occur by powering it down, then up/

So now it's got Firmware 3.3.1.6 and it's a brick. Any ideas?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
