I am VERY happy using SQ Remote and SQ Blaster (buy the Blaster get the app for free). Their Blaster 'puck' is WiFi and blasts IR directly and with a set of 3 adhesive remote emitters. Their app is really customizable and it is very responsive. Also when coupled with Vera (Home Autmation Gateway), it controls lights, HVAC, cameras, sprinklers, anything Z-Wave or RS232.
