I saw many SONY remorets on EBAY tonight. I bought 1 at $2 in part because the seller was good enough to mention the vcr models it works with which are many. The issue is that my model 3 SLV-779HF is NOT in the list, although previous #s and later #s in numerical order are. The remote # is RMTV232C. Will that remote work? There were many other similar #s such as RMTV231B and RMTV161A and others. These 2 #s do not link to any specific vcr model. Did I make the correct choice? Can you provide me with a link to the owners manuals for these remotes and/or the vcrs that the work with?Should I look for a different remote #? Any help welcome.
