I just got my remote yesterday and have let it charge all night and all day up until now and I check the battery and it still only shows one bar.

The remote doesn't beep when I remove it from or place it in the cradle like it should either.

Has anyojne encountered any of these?

Is the blue light on on the cradle when you plug it in? Do you get the screensaver for the first couple minutes when you drop the remote onto the cradle and does the little battery graphic in the upper left corner show that it's charging? Does it come on when you give the remote a jiggle to be sure it's on the contacts? If not, the charger is probably defective. If not, It would appear to be defective and the warranty should cover it.

I actually had the same problem with mine. Could not charge it more than one bar. I even got a new battery from the store, but that didnt help.

I returned my remote and got a new one, and the new one is working perfect!

Sounds like a problem with the cradle and not the battery. Sometimes I have to move mine around in the cradle to get it "seated", and I know it is when I hear a beep and the screensaver pics come up.

Mystry,

How did you arrange this? Did you call
them or email them?

I have the same issue with my cradle and
I'd like a replacement.

Did you have to mail the old cradle back?

Any help you can provide would be
greatly appreciated.

I emailed their tech support and after about 3 weeks they finally replied requesting my information so they could send me a new cradle when they are ready to send them out. They are supposedly reengineering the cradle to work better.

I went to their support page and started a new ticket about charging. It was all done through their support web site. Go to logitech's home page and click on support.

This is what they sent me:

After conducting a full investigation we have determined that, in a small percentage of cases, the Harmony 880 will charge intermittently or stop charging. These new base stations will be available within the next 3 weeks at which time we will courier one to you.

To ensure that we replace your base station as quickly as possible please provide us with the following information :

I just received a Harmony 880, had the same problem as above (it won't charge at all), and also emailed tech support at Logitech. I received back essentially the same answer, including being told there would be a two-week wait. Why is this product being shipped if it doesn't even work?

I found the solution to my Harmony charging issues. The battery does not touch the charging contacts properly. In fact, the battery is too loose within the battery compartment. I solved this with a piece of paper. The battery needs to be forced towards the charging contacts.
