T1
I haven't used an M2 yet... and won't if I can help it. I don't like the layout or the battery issues. The T1 has gone into a few basic systems and has performed admirably.

I think I might 2nd the T1... but I am opposite of Andy. I have never done a T1, but I have done M2's, and the battery life sucks. I would think the T1 would be better with no LCD display.

T1
M2 is not even a consideration in our line up, no charger, no sale...

if you haven't gotten it yet ( LOL) the T1 is the definite winner between these two.
the M2 is just a poor design, in a long line of excellent products. you can't win them all!

WOW. OK, I get the point.
We are new to RTI and our two "go-to" remotes were going to be the M2 and T2-C. We've put in a few T2-C's, but only 1 M2. We haven't even gotten a T1 in our hands yet. We looked at the lineup, saw there was no screen on it and kinda passed it by and went onto the next model up.
For the older customer, I just thought the screen would be hard to read. Honestly, I didn't even realize the T1 was rechargeable.
Thanks for all the opinions!

You are all crazy! The T1 is useless. Haveing to cut out buttons and try to make sence out of it for multiple sources. What if the client had a cable box and a sat? How do you make a client understand "these buttons are the A,B,C for cable but if your on Sat it is Red, Green |
Don't read my answer. Someone else will go into great detail as to why I am wrong rather than answer the original question... |

If your client has a system like that then you have to sell them a better remote, like a T2C. But I have plenty of clients that have a cable box, tv, and dvd player and the T1 was perfect for them. Useless is not selling a remote because you don't like it and think that every client needs a remote that's at least $600. If your client has cable and sat then you should be able to get them into a T2C.

Who says you can't put 61" plasmas up on cantilever mounts using toggle bolts? <---Thanks Ernie ;) |

In a retirement community where eyesight is starting to fade I would steer clear of the M2. I've also been asked by older people why the remote doesn't work, "I've just put in fresh batteries" Yes you did but they're backwards. For a small system..T1 all the way.

Cheeshead...
Remember the poll... "Which of these sucks the least?"
I use T3s every week and T2Cs everyother. About once a month I get a T4 install.
