I love the specs that Bose puts on their website for speakers. Dimensions and nothing else.

I am not sure who is the BS leader....Bose...Monster?

I don't think Bose has a thing on Monster, they must have an entire team of Bullshit artists working overtime on some of this stuff!

"First, patented MicroFiber® is wound around the various wire networks to provide proper isolation and protection from contact generated noise, to ensure the quietest background and the greatest freedom from cable-generated noise. Then a distinct cross-linked polymer dielectric called PEX-2® is pressure-extruded using laser-controlled precision dies to the precise dimensions to produce the insulation, which reduces capacitance and ensures stability for a wide range of frequencies. Since PEX-2 does not chemically react with copper, it guarantees that the impeccable high frequency performance will not degrade by corrosion at the copper surface. Lastly, the Super MultiTwist™ construction rejects audio bandwidth distortions for greater clarity and imaging. "

My god what complete bullshit!

I am told that after about 4 beers you can really hear the difference, though. Problem is I don't drink.

Actually, that BS from Monster is standard cable design. Sounds just like Belden, except Belden doesn't make it sound so exotic.

Well, I should hope there's a shield.

PE no doubt referring to poly-ethylene, same as the insulation in all other cables made by everybody.

construction rejects audio bandwidth distortions

Again, virtually all audio cable is wound for noise rejection. So is CAT5.

My god what complete bullshit!

All marketing is. The only problem I have with Monster is the price. I'd recommend not reading marketing material. And get a Tivo so you can skip it on TV, too.

That quiet buzzing sound you hear is John Lennon spinning in his grave at a frequency of about 60Hz. Woof...that was bad (not that I could do better!).

Speaking from my own experience, I know the parts
involved in putting together one of their speaker
systems. I guess the reason I dislike them is
the fact they take $50 worth of parts and charge
$1500 for the system. BartJSimpson hit the nail
right on the head when he said there are better
speakers out there for the money.

This kind of greed is standard business practice for Bose. Where else can you buy a HTIB for 4 grand! I USE to have a contract with the Bose factory stores(hey I was just trying to get to more high end customers!) doing thier installations. At first they paid us around 60% of what the customer paid at the store. When I got the new contract in the mail that dropped us down to 40%, I called the rep and said no thanks. Example: Plasma, with theater install thier take: $1,550, our take $625. After the customer paid over $1,500 at the store, they were not very receptive to upsells.

I guess if you bothered to take the time to become a little more informed, you would know that Bose sells a lot more than just clock radios. If you just Google "Bose" you would probably be AMAZED with what you come up with!

A bad analogy...

Many Clock Radios are Stereo! Not the Bose. What's lower end than Bose... Bose Clock Radios!
