Well, I am the newest member of the dumbass club. Nice to meet all of you. I was taken for 300 buck about 3 hours ago on the L6 in Chester WV, about 40 miles outside of Pittsburgh. They were in their white van with Avalon Distributors professionally painted on the side of the van sitting outside of the gym at Mountaineer racetrack. They said they work at a store on Carson street in Pittsburgh installing these systems. Been kicking myself ever since, but what the hell, they appear to be new, now I just have to hope that they work to at least get some of my money out of them. Only good thing to come out of this, I have some connections with the surveillance department at MTR and they are going to pull the video. Maybe get a license plate number and some good pictures of these guys and go from there. If the video is clear enough, I am sure the local news channel would be willing to air the story to save some others the head ache. One things for sure, I'm not showing my face if it does air. Feel like a big enough ass!!! Live and learn...

Hello everyone,
I'm the newest dumbarse to get scammed (02/24/06) for $160 for the L6 in Webster, Tx in front of James Avery on Bay Area Blvd. It was two guys in a SUV and one of the guys had tatoo's and a freaky nose piercing. Anyone know where I can find these two dudes, please let me know. They messed with the wrong MF. Little do they know that I whoop arse and if I run into them again or anyone trying to sell this crap it's on.

This is the all time funniest and saddest thread of all forums I have ever read. It's like the confessional booth for idiots.

I'm so jealous, I'm stuck with the crappy L6 system I wish I was a proud owner of the L8. Seriously I feel so stupid, and of course my guy friends are all reminding me of how dumb I am. Honestly I for sure am the worst, I pulled into a gas station, heard these guys trying to hustle some guy and of course, Mr. tough guy that I am, I walk over to see what was going on. I was going to tell the guy being hustled that this is a scam, in chicago its not uncommon to see some gangsta people selling out of vans and trucks. But then I saw the invoice and a magizene wow, $2,400 for the L6 thats obviously a classy system. I then saw writting on the side of the truck that said some delivery companies name. After I was told they needed money for a strip club tonight I figured this is a great deal, I offered them 150 for the system, we finally settled on 170. I get home hook it up and it sounds as good as my shitty sony system. I then google the brand to see some specs and sure enough I find this fourm. So clearly I've been taken on a ride, I'm looking forward to my L6 breaking and then I can really be proud of myself. All impulsive people out there be warned aparently buying goods out of the back of a white van with two hustlers trying to broker a deal, is not a good idea. It's wonderful how I can laugh at people making dumb chocies yet i'm as big of a sucker as everyone else.

Im only writing to those people who feel bad they got taken for a ride or to those who are pissed. I live in Boston, and to guys came up in a silver caravan and i paid 180 for the L6. I WAS NOT SCAMMED, AND IM NOT AN IDIOT. Just as you all are not either. You got what you paid for- a working, pretty cool looking, surround sound 500 watt system. Its all how you look at it. If you went to your local retail store would you expect to pay any less, even for a no-name brand? Does it matter that those 2 dudes only paid $500 for the stuff, or if they paid nothing? what if you never found this thread, but you found the website that advertises the product for $2500? would you feel validated then? just be careful with the equipment, dont lose the remote, and you should get your value for the money. I know some people paid a little more, but maybe its just going to be a lesson in effective bartering for them. We get scammed everyday from say, a record company who charges us $20 for a CD that it costs them 3 cents to make.
