Well, I saw a better deal at my local Safeway grocery after Christmas. A full surround system with speakers, DVD player, receiver and all for $45. I can visualize the quality...
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

Well they just got done trying to sell to me in Denver. At the Circuit city parking lot in Denver on Colorado Blvd. I knew it was a scam right away. They toured the Colorado campus in Boulder in '96 and hooked my roommate. They have been doing this a long time. I know good sound equip (I have some 800 series b&W) but I was curious though and made the guy take the speakers out so I could look at them. I feined ingnorance and dragged it out for 25 minutes. The guy was ready to blow at the end, but he kept at his ridiculous story. He kept getting in his SUV, then getting out, using his self made magazine. (The mag looks real "Video Picture" or something but I had never heard of it. It looked like borrowed articles from other magazines and all put together by kinko's on nice paper.) I got him down to 200, I might have even bought them for 100 and given them to a friend who doesn't know better as a gift. But I was afraid they wouldn't work. If you did get suckered, at least they look nice, and if they work, well its not all bad. I was almost tempted to buy them and dissect them to see how good or bad they really are. I am surprised they don't copy name brand products, or at least the magazine. But I guess it would be illeagal then, right now I think they are just trying to oversell a crappy product to people, but not necessarily against the law. Well if its any consolation to you guys I made them jump through hoops and dragged out the sale as long as possible then said no. He was nice, but I could tell he was pissed. Just sorry I didn't get their Texas plate numbers. Remember, if its too good to be true, it probably is.

Another sighting of these yahoos...this time in Plano, TX at George Bush Tollway and Coit...Wal-Mart parking lot.

I was in a rush when the two stooges offered to sell me some speakers from his Suburban. I wish I would have had time to mess with them, but the family needed me at home...maybe next time I can get my big black magic marker and write the word SCAM in big letters on the side of their truck.

This fine organization has an advertisement in the March/April issue of The Perfect Vision, with the "MSRP" of the various "systems". One would think the inflated "suggested retail" of this stuff is part of the "perfect setup" of unsusepecting consumers. How many manufacturers place the MSRP of their products in a national magazine ad?

Things that make you go "hmmmm".

I fell for this scam back on Feb 22. It happend in Rohnert Park California. I was walking out of Safeway when two white guys who said theyfrom sacramento pulled up inthe pa rking lot asking me to check out some speakers. i said i wasnt interesested at first but then they convinced me. They had about three sets of these speakers and pulled out one of the speakers in the box brand new. The box they pulled out was the 2450 model. I dont know much about home stereo speakers. They looked pretty awesome. Then they pulled out the catalog and showed the price in there and it had a $2500 price to it. They told me that they went to go pick up these speakers for there boss and they were given extras by accident. They said they would rather sell it to me for a deal of a lifetime than give it to there boss. They needed money supposedly. I said how much you want. The first price they gave was $800. I said no i dont have that money. then they lowered to $500. I said no again. Then i started to walk off then they asked me how much i got i told them $200. they got frustrated and said ok. Of course i thought i got a hell of a deal. I gave them the money they even helped me put the speakers in my car. When i got home i went on ebay to see what these speakers go for. I didnt know that there is two model types. the 2450 and the 2400. I went to check my boxes and they were the 2400. I thought i had gotten the 2450 because thats what the white guy showed me. I didnt even know there were two types. These speakers are piece of garbage.

Where is it? I downloaded that issue from their website, and didn't see it. I want to see what these things look like.

Better yet, tattoo it on there forhead!

I still can't believe people fall for this scam.

I can understand how tempting it is when approached in this manner(not much time to rationalize) but WTF!!!!

You get what you pay for!

Alternatively, one could always rebadge some of these.
