Got took by a guy in a white navigator for $250 bucks,...I new I was getting taken, but didn't know how much for. Now I figure I could have gotten them for $100 bucks easy. I'm from a small town in east Texas, I guess this was my official welcome to Austin Tx

Well, they've apparently moved to Colorado. I just got scammed for $300.00

I took a picture of the license plate, Colorado plates 055-LEY
I called the Castle Rock, Colorado police. They came out, ran the plates, and found them registered to a "distributor". Nothing against the law about it. We looked for a S/N to see if it might turn up on a "stolen" report, only to find out that these units don't even have serial numbers.

Such is life, I am too trusting.

u all pros to this site .. well the ones that just got screwed arent pros cause if we were we wouldnt have got taken would we have.. so back off and think about how we can get scam artist like this locked up or even paid back in any way shape or form. i tracked the plates on the ones who scammed me.. but the plates belonged to another car i contacted that person and his plates were on his car. so yes these people are doing something illegal.. they are driving cars with fake plates.. so thats how they can get arrested.... for those of u that said.. we all are just stupid and they werent doing any thing wrong well see yes they are. and yes im a woman.... Almost got scammed, in austin tx today, same old story, silver SUV, i called my brother to check the brand out on the internet, couldnt find shit but this forum, he said it was a scam (obviously) . So I gave them some beer money for trying so hard. Close to losing 200 bucks. They were in a Silver SUV with florida license plates.

Gotta give it to them, great salesmen,if they approach me again though, ill shove their high quality speakers up there ass.

Did they try to sell you Monster cables?

O.K.

Here's the standard reply that will get there attention....

Straight shot to the nose,(to disorient them)
side shot with your foot to the knee(it only takes 18 pounds of force!)
Followed by a devestatating blow to the chest as they hit the ground(those ribs are pretty weak!)

That ought to 'learn them'!!.....
Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

Yep, you caught me, I am a former sales guy, and
was looking for a new job when I saw an ad in
the classifieds stating, audio systems delivery
driver 800-1200 per week, so naturally I was jumping
for joy when they called me back.

I rode in the van with this greasy slimeball
while he wheeled, dealed, and basically used every
bad salesman technique we were taught to avoid
at my last sales job. So I thought, okay, good
company bad example, so I said I'd come back tomorrow
and try again, when I got home I tried the net
for a little product research, found this forum
and a few others like it, and found out it was
the whole company, not just this one dirtbag.
Needless to say, I felt everyone who has been
posting in the dark to this forum should know
exactly what's what, and that the sales pitch
they have heard in every city is the same, because
it was all organized by the same managers who
travel around the world setting up new "offices",
training new drug addicts with the same exact
methods of attracting buyers, making tons of money
off of hardworking individuals that are desperate
enough to find a deal that they get taken for
a ride, I fell for it too untill I found out just
how low the quality is on thier systems.
Again, long story short, I am back on the job
hunt, and trying to hook up with some legitimate
independant salesmen who have a quality product,
because it does exist and I believe people should
know that all salesmen aren't the same.

10 pages now, certainly a lot of idiots out there. And there are 2 threads on this topic.

A fool is born everyday, and these thread just reinforce that statement.

They buy speakers from some guys in parking lots and they get burned, who would of ever figured??
When good enough is not good enough.

I hooked up the speakers to my sorround sound today and they didn't sound too bad, but my $199.00 sony sorround system blows it away. I guess I deserve what I got for buying from a parking lot. Same thing the two guys said that they were delivery drivers and that the warehouse had thrown in a few extra speakers by mistake and that they wanted to sell them to get a little extra money, they also said that they were in their bosse's vehicle and thats why they were in such a hurry to get rid of them.
I can assure you it won't happen again.
