I just checked the http://www.ecost.com web site. They do have the Pronto for $279.99 but you only see that price when you click on the "Buy Now" icon, when you do a search on "Pronto" the listing that comes up lists the Pronto at $399, so don't be scared away by that price. (I think their webmaster should fix this, duh!).

BTW: They price for the charger is $51.75

Personally, I got my pronto for $279 with $15 shipping from http://www.wholesaleconnection.com but they are out of stock at this time.

is anyone having any problems with thier european spec. silver prontos? i heard they wont link up with IR codes from the philip's website, and also the warranty is void in USA

RP, I ordered mine a while ago from 'The Stereo Shop' (I think). I don't remember their number or anything and I'm not even sure they still give that price. My point was just that $349 isn't that good of a price, especially if someone can sell it for as cheap as I got it for and still make a profit.

I bought mine from the Stereo Shop about 2 weeks ago and it was only $299.

I paid £160 at letsautomate.com. Dock was £40, shipping was £30 or so...Total was apx. £230, or $345 for pronto AND dock (with 110V charger.) Seems like I could have done about the same here (they do have lots of stock though - only took a week to ship.)

Found the Silver unit's and the U.S. greenish/black unit's and docking station's @ etronixs.com you have to call there center to order. There number is 219-477-2572
