If someone has found someone cheaper again or has found a better price on both the Pronto and Docking station shipped please post here. I saw one in the newsgroup for $388 for both shipped however he had only 2 left and it was COD from Home Theatre Design Group. Oh well.

Last I saw, autotoys had them for $315.00 in stock with 2nd day air shipping and you can apply a $5.00 discount on a fax order.

I put in an order to autotoys.com when they advertised it for $279...They took my order but never sent the remote...5 weeks and no response...I had to cancel the order....Poor service!

Why dont you try buying a local AUTHORIZED dealer which can provide you with quality service and support.

I waited to get a Pronto for a few months, since the philips website showed no dealers in my area (Roanoke,VA). Since I was ordering it mail order anyway I waited to get a good price.

However, about a month after I got my Pronto I went to a local hi-fi store to buy some B&W speakers. While I was standing there - to my surprise I saw a Pronto on the desk! I asked him if he sold the Pronto. He said he had been selling the Pronto since it came out and he has even called Philips about their website dealer locator. It seems to me that the Philips website only shows dealers of the Multimedia Computer thing and does not have specific Pronto dealers.

Just seems to me that Philips has alienated some of its authorized dealers and forced people to go mail-order. BTW the dealer in Roanoke,VA is Sound Decision

I received my Pronto and charging station from Kevin and Eric (see above) on Wednesday. (I was out of town so I'm just starting to play with it now.) I ordered it last Thursday. It came in perfect condition, an excellent price ($349 + $15 shipping) and was exactly as advertised. I recommend these guys!

Customer service was great. There web-site looks like is still undergoing some work, but they tell me they will have a little of everything for us tweeky geekys with electronics on the brain.
