Hi Guys!
I am really thinking about getting a Pronto.

Would anybody know if Pronto is compatible with Bang & Olufsen equipment??

From what I've heard, the B&O remotes use a frequency beyond the capability of the pronto to learn but not to transmit. You'll need to find the hex codes for all of your B&O equipment. If you can find those codes, then it should work OK.

I would like to purchase the Pronto. It seems like Cartronix might have the best deal. However, the web site does not load. How can you get a quote from them? Someone here said $299+shipping.

Try Sound City I just ordered a Pronto and Docking station for a very comparable price as seen here by several. They are however out of them at the moment but as soon as they come in one will be off to me. Hope this remote is worth the hype.

So what is the best price that anyone has found out there currently for unit and charger?

$330 shipped for the Silver Pronto from www.onehitwonders.com

They said they will sell me a docking station at $38 if I needed one!

So that is $368 for the Silver Pronto and docking station shipped. It took me about three days to get mine!

I heard that the silver models don't need the docking station because the light sensor has been removed and doesn't need charging. The batteries will last about 6 months. What's the scoop? Am I hearing things right.

Charging station comes with rechargeable battery pack (that you can use instead of AA batteries), it has nothing to do with light sensor Is the charging station worth the $$? That is another question, personally I bought it and like it for two reasons the peace of mind (Pronto is always on the station and pack is always charged) and it means I know where the remote will be (since the remote goes on the charging station when not in use). Cost wise is a different issue @50$ that is a lot of AAs and more $$ then regular rechargeable

ecost.com has the pronto in stock at $279.99, with a total of about $300 for overnight shipping.

Dlduke: You probably heard that on one of those "other forums" eh? Well, it's completely false. The light sensore has nothing to do with battery life. If you don't use the remote much, ANY battery will last six months in it -- and always has. If you like the backlight and use it daily, a month or so is more likely. As has been described many times in the past, you won't save any money by buying the desktop charger. But that's not the reason why most people buy it.

Why is everyone jumping up and down over $349 for a pronto?? That's really not all that cheap. I ordered mine for $320.90 with docking station and shipping.
