Hey, new here with a 659.

My problem is the web server, first it's forgetting my Additional Button settings. I spent a good three hours last night setting up the remote. I wanted to make some minor additions today and to my horror it's all back to default! Has anyone else seen this?

I also spent at least an hour with support last night because of this error:

Updating Remote:Configuration Error
Problem must be resolved before you can update the remote.
HarmonyDevice::This key is already associated with an element of this collection(457)Context: HarmonyRemote=Harmony659

After losing my first config when they supposedly fixed it I was able to program my remote.
To my dismay again this morning this error has come back! (I don't think there were are any expletive deleted's that I left out when I saw this)

Any ideas, I'm getting ready for another marathon session with support.

Thanks

Still working on this problem with Tech support. Got rid of the error but the host does not save my additional button setup overnight. It's there throughout the day but the next morning it's reset to it's default values.

I also started getting this problem in the last few weeks. I can't update my remote anymore.

Have you made any progress with Logitech customer support?

I called their customer service. They said level 2 support will call me back.

Is this what you're going through?

I have a Harmony 676

I picke don eo fthese remotes up today and ran into the same problem.
Ive sort of traced it to being 2 'keys' with the same name.
on my surround sound, the MUTE remote button mutes the surround.
I inadvertently added a device option called MUTE, and it did not download (same error) to the remote.
I went back and removed the Mute option i added to the device, and it then downloaded to the remote.

I gather you need to check your custome names closely to make sure they arent conflicting with something else. I would have thought they would have used numerical ID's rather than the actual name as the record.

Thaaaannnnkkkkkk Yooooouuuuu!!!!!!!

I was able to fix the problem, by searching for duplicate button names in the picture/sound.

All fixed before Logitech customer service even called me back.

Thanks again.

Sorry for the delay, update on my lack of progress.
The final word from Logitech is that it's been flagged as a bug, unfortunately since I'm not important they won't get around to it for a couple months, thanks Logitech!
I'm still having to reenter the data with an occasional "Unable to display content" condition thrown in here and there. At least I've gotten it down to about an hour of typing and entering :(.
(btw, they speculate that the particular server that I'm on has problems when they clear out the cache overnight since it only happens overnight. They said setting up another account won't probably fix it although I'll probably try it anyway since I basically have to start from scratch, nothing to lose.)

I guess our profiles are on that same dodgy server then, because apart from running into this very helpful and detailed "Unable to display content" message now and again, some of my Additional Button settings don't seem to last for more than a day. :(

My only hope is that I don't want to update the remote again, but that's hardly a solution to the problem. It's not a very comforting thought that I'll have to set up the entire remote for every single tweak. Is that what they mean by "living in Harmony"? ;)

Please make sure you contact Logitech, hopefully they'll be prompted to take action sooner than in a few months .
Thanks but sorry you have the problem too.

I've posted the problem on the Logitech forum and mailed to customer support.
Phoning in would be a bit too expensive, since I'm living in the Netherlands. ;)

Hopefully they get round to this issue, it seems everybody is complaining now about the "Unable to display content" error, so they've got a lot of work on their hands.

Why would phoning from the Netherlands be expensive?

According to their support contact page the phone number for the Netherlands is a freephone number so it shouldn't cost you anything. However they don't operate on Sundays.

I checked mine today, on Watch a DVD I get the infamous "Unable to display content" and my DVD device settings have been reset. Both DVD related items, hmmmmmm?

Well I just reloaded the DVD stuff, we'll see what it looks like tomorrow morning.
BTW, I took out all punctuation and spaces from my titles and I still got the "Unable..." error .

I used to have one custom infrared command on one device that had a '/' in it. Since you cannot delete al learned command (or edit its label) I decided to create an all new account yesterday, making sure that the labels for the commands did not contain spaces or special characters.

So far, it seems to have solved my issue of automatically deleting the custom button settings overnight. :)

But when I added a new command to my DVD, I ran into the "Unable to display content" error again... So there still seems to be a problem in the amount of commands I add to a device. :(

Anyway, if it's true that using special characters in custom command names cause a lot of weird and seemingly unrelated problems, why doesn't the software check or warn you not to use them?

Wow, my settings are really messed up this morning. 3 out of 5 activities have unable to display content, 2 out of 4 devices had their settings reset to default, sigh :(. Next spare 1 1/2hr. that I have I'll set up a new account. Seems the embedded guys have their act together but the network guys to put it mildly have some work to do.
