Just checking in. Have any atheists been converted to born again Christians yet? Have any born again Christians abandoned their faith and become atheists yet?
Let me just add a few things. There are only three true religions.
And the most accepting of them all. I suggest you watch the video and join me in the brotherhood of Tarvu. As the video will teach you, it's so easy to join! http://www.tarvu.com/

Do not fall for 39 Cent Stamps youtube video. It does not represent the true Tarvu prayer, he is trying to trick you into reciting an anti-Tarvu prayer. If you say the anti-Tarvu prayer it is no longer easy to join and Tarvu condemns you to eternity in a very cold place watching Three's Company reruns.

"Imagine No Religion, I Wonder if You Can. No Hell below us, above us only sky"...
john Lennon
People accepting responsibility for thier choices/actions? You sound like an atheist. You know damn well that we cant have a moral society where people are good to each other without a magical man in the sky making us do it.
We are born evil and theres no way around that. Just look at this sinner. It makes me sick to my stomach to think about how flawed they/we are.

You know, there are things in this world that exist but can not be proven to exist. Love, hate, etc., sometimes you just know they exist.
I think it's funny how people piss and moan about people shoving religion down their throat, so much so that they click on the thread, read it, and get pissed about it, then respond to it. Oh, and by the way one of these people started the thread. I'm guessing many of the people that fit into this category think the ACLU is a wonderful organization. There's 100 people in a park, 99 are enjoying a Christmas scene and one finds it goes against their beliefs, one call to the ACLU and 99 people lose something they believe in.
In the last month, almost every bit of discussion of religion was started by an atheist. My suggestion is if it bothers you so much, stop f'ing talking about it and mind your own business.

The Tooth Fairy? Santa? Unicorns? Smart Republicans?

It IS a wonderful organization. One that I'm a member of. You should be grateful for the wonderful work that they do (unless you hate civil liberties and the first amendment).

That's what civil liberties are for. They stick up for the minority. If the park is public property and maintained with taxpayer dollars then it is no place to be setting up religious displays. The supreme court has said it's okay to set up santa and his gay little helpers because they're not religious. But there's no way I should have to financially support, and be forced to look at, some goddam disgusting display of some baby who's supposed to be middle-eastern but looks Aryan, the kid's mom (who is a slut and a lair - "I'm not pregnant Joseph, I swear I'm still a virgin"), his clueless "dad", and some wise men carrying some...I don't know what (frankincense? it's probably hashish).

I WILL mind my own business. But not until religious people either 1.) Get "raptured" the hell out of here, or 2.) Focus on their own damn families.

I had figured that moving this out of the CI Lounge (where it was both off-topic and obviously going to be inflammatory) would also be a clue to "tone it down", but I guess that message didn't get through.
I'm not fond of curtailing discussion, but these religious threads NEVER go anywhere good, and result in nothing but a lot of bad feelings between all involved.
If you're that motivated on the topic, there are plenty of actual religious forums out there.
