I have a HLP 6173W with Xantech URC2 remote. If I use the on and off codes by themselves they appear to work fine. When I start using them in a macro the power on doesnt work. I tried putting the power on command first followed by a 1 sec delay but it still doesn't work. I am puzzled? I changed my batteries. I swapped the remote.

Get a hold of a uei made OFA/RS remote, using setup code TV0060 and the above advanced codes, then teach them to your learning remote. The radio shack 15-2103 is $16, it has a 30 return on it. I am wondering if this worked - I would like to try the discreet codes using my sony avi3000 and would like any advice you may have - thanks

well, I have been trying very unsuccessfully to program an MX-800 to control an HLP-6163W and of course found the same problems everyone else has, the only problem is it seems no one has republished good codes, I've been through every single forum on the Sammy's and There is just too much, Could we get a John or someone to post the real deal in either Hex or Decimal? That would be great!

The problem with **63W series Samsungs is that they lock up and refuse to accept discrete codes after a while. If there's a firmware update that fixes this, I'd love to get my hands on it.

Contrary to what what samsung tech support was saying even as recently as last week, there have been at least two firmware versions seen in HL-P??63W monitors in the field. I posted my version (T_ATLANTIS_1024) in this avsform thread: [Link: avsforum.com]and someone said he has a newer version (T_ATLANTIS_1035) and has all discrete input codes working.

SAMSUNG HLP5674
I have programmed a Pronto 7000 to control a Samsung HLP5674, but have had no luck finding codes for the various source inputs. Can anybody help? Thanks

Anyone had issues with the AV2, AV3, S-Video 2, DVI and HDMI codes? I have tried all of the codes in this forum as well as the files available for downlolad but these codes don't seem to work. I tried all of them on two different models but both responded to the same codes (and didn't respond to the codes above). Everything else seems to work fine but I would like to assemble a complete set for my customers that insist on buying these Samsung units. The thirty second turn on delay is terrible by the way. When are these manufacturers going to get a clue? Any help would be appreciated.

What model of set is it SB1? Post the learned power command and the TV/Video toggle and we'll see if we can get it figured out.

These codes (in the 800 database) seem to be the most up to date and reliable. Not all inputs work, but with a workaround or two they have worked out well for all of our poor customers that see the world thru the Samsung.

Are there discreet codes for the aspect ratio?
Any current links to the files mentioned at the top of the thread. I can't seem to find them anymore on AVSForum. I've searched the archives and have had no luck. Thanks.

Once you program device code TV0060, say you want to map the Advanced code(EFC) for video 1(177) to the +100 key on the 2103, here's how
1. press tv 2. press and hold P for two blinks 3. enter 9-9-4 4. tap P 5. enter 177 6. hit +100 key.
Without mapping the EFC, you can also just test the EFC by; 1. tapping P 2, now while pointing the remote at the TV, enter the EFC, the command will fire after the third digit it entered. Finally, after much following of this thread and the one at AvsForum.com, I've got all the discreet codes working for my HL-P6163W, Mfg date 11/04. Had to use the Radio Shack remote to search for the codes, as the ones posted did not all work for my TV. I could not find the RS 15-2103 remote, so I used a 15-2142, the only difference is that you must make each code 5 digits, so add 2 leading zeroes to each. Other than that, the procedure is identical. (i.e. to send a discreet AV1, tap "P" then 0-0-1-8-8. The code fires on the fifth digit) The codes that worked for me were as follows: Ant - 251 AV1 - 188 AV2 - 083 AV3 - 076 SVid1 - 192 SVid2 - 080 SVid3 - 019 Comp1 - 190 Comp2 - 061 DVI - 063 HDMI - 067 RGB/PC - 073 Mark

So, do you take this Radio Shack remote, learn the 3 or 5 digit codes into it, test them, then learn them onto your Pronto, Xantech, or whatever you REALLY want to use???

There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions. |
