Well, it's like anything else out there...

Timex watch (tells time perfectly), waterproof never needs winding: $29.00

Patik Phillipe watch: Needs to be wound all the time, not that accurate, not waterproof, needs occasional repair and adjustment: $70,000K +

16 ft. 14 gauge oxygen free multi strand speaker wire (2 runs 8 ft. each): $9.00

16 ft. Tributaries Top of the Line Speaker cables $30,000.00

I agree though... The good ol' USA & G.M. --- have done a terrific job with the recent Vettes! You could buy 5 of them for the price of 1 Ferrari, just as fast, or faster and even be able to pay for the servicing! Had a client who replaced the muffler on his older 308 Ferrari --$4,600.00.

Knew a guy in school, (you know the token "rich kid"). His dad has a company here that builds, and paints firetrucks, UPS trucks all that stuff. Big facility.
Once he took me to his dad's shop... There was a large room 150 x 150 feet, he askes me "Ya Like them Ferarris?" Opens the door & there were about 40 to 50 in there, from 1957's on up! Blew me away. They even had a couple full time guys who maintained them... walking around in their white coveralls looking all serious...
I saw this guy a bout 5 years ago & he said his dad sold most of them, as at one time they were "pretty good investments" but started to lose their appeal & value, so he sold all but a couple of them.
Crazy world ain't it?!?!?

Ferrari 599 GTB

Estimated base price: $250,000

Performance ratings (mfr’s est):
Zero to 62 mph: 3.7 sec
Zero to 124 mph: 11.0 sec
Top speed (drag limited): 205 mph
Projected fuel economy (mfr’s est):

For $80,000 you can have an American muscle Car
Corvette Z06

0-60 Mid 3 seconds
0-124 10.7 seconds
1/4 mile 12.7 seconds with Air conditioning

Top speed 198 MPH

I have a customer that had his Ferrari serviced
at the dealer
1,277.00 for an Oil & Filter change
4,325 for front and rear brakes

He was whining as loud as his FerrarI when he
got that bill. But no charge for the car wash

The difference?

$170,000
Turn the steering wheel in the Ferrari at 100mph - you turn.

Turn the steering wheel in the 'vette at 100 mph - you die.
Sticking to what I'm good at.

Now, if you're talking about a current Vette I may argue. I do remember going sideways through a set of bridge abutments in Batavia at about 60 in a '71, though.... Interesting viewpoint, sitting straight in the seat and watching the world go past from left to right. :-)

Just saw a Porsche GT at a customer's house parked next to the Bentley. The Hummer was in the driveway next to the 645 and the wifes Benz wasn't there.

I've seen a lot of things over the years, but this is the first time I can say I've seen a $500,000 (new) car. I did have one guy who had some '30's Mercedes limousines that were worth a lot, but no 602HP...;)

Plane, boat, yacht, owns a country....blah blah blah!!!!....

I would like one of my own......Instead of saying my customer's ..., I would like to say well my Ferrari.or the other day on the G5.....

PLEASE!

Im just jealous.......Too bad I can't find my million dollar idea.....

But you know what.......I've seen it all, and somedays I want it all,
but somedays I wouldn't even want the hassle that goes with it....

My 'watch' is an 'Alltel' Motorolla Razor.

Keeps perfect time. It even adjusts for different time zones automatically!

Takes pictures too.......And you can even CALL people on it!

$79.99 with a 2yr agreement!

You do have to 'plug it in' every couple days to recharge it.

The new vette's do handle like a dream!

At 160, it handles better than it does at 50.

The old vettes........I hope you like a 'loose' car!!!!

"Hanging out" the rearend to the right was as easy as stepping on the gas (wich I kind of liked!!).
Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

Proud to say that my property is protected by a high speed wireless device!
