You could move in with my son! You could help him with his homework! You could tell him I'm a hell of a guy!

Affordable housing here is a bit of a problem, no question. Not as bad as Breckenridge, CO, not as good as Biloxi, MI. Hosting a winning sports franchise is only a periodic problem. Hosting corrupt politicians is an lifelong commitment.

Theres plenty of low cost houseing (ok, shelter migh tbe a better term) on lower wacker drive!
Barrionton is kinda high-falutin..... But if you dont mind driving housing isnt all that bad... where Owen is at, you could almost commute from Cheese land.

One of my guys does in fact live in Wisconsin. Barrington is high-falutin, but you don't have to live here to work here.
Did I mention the great weather in Chicago? Much like Florida's weather, really. A great place to live and work....

And the traffic, or lack there of, right Owen?
And the fine condition of the roads?
And the pleasant humidity in the summer? Or the lovely nipples of winter.
Sweet home......Cheecagoo Meng.

Owen, you forgot that I grew up in Chicago. Even a 2 room box on Lower Wacker is $375,000. And Daley wants to raise the taxes on that again! Thanks to urban sprawl, Milwaukee is now a suburb of Chicago.

You guys have also forgot about selling the tollway to some company from a far away land so we would have $5.00 tolls and no recourse to fix them once they get worse than they already are! Anyone want to buy my house?

with all do respect... i had no idea that you had an experimental surgery to have your balls removed. |

Now, now, now. If everyone keeps this up not only will I get no applicants, but my existing crew will leave. Stop it. I feel like moving after all that; sheesh.
Chicago is the land of:
World class architecture. World class symphony. Hot dogs with no ketchup. Great museums. Little pretension. Birthplace of electric blues. Birthplace of the sustained atomic reaction (drove by the site last week, in fact). And the immortal "Make no small plans; they have no power to stir men's souls."
Not my birthplace, but absolutely my home town.
That being said, the traffic does stink, the weather is a challenge, and it can be costly to live here. It's worth it.
Daley's rubber stamp City Council is considering outlawing certain breeds of dogs, an idiodic idea in this town. As far as I can tell, he's not trying to get rid of bars; that would provoke riots that would make 1968 pale in comparison.

He's not trying to get rid of them, he just wants to cut the number of bars within city limits down to a third of what they are at now. And your right about the hot dog thing. Only way I've ever been able to eat one.

Thanks to urban sprawl, Milwaukee is now a suburb of Chicago. That's if you really need that tony Lower Wacker address and the interesting neighbors that go with it. I sold my solid Glen Ellyn bi-level (nice town, decent neighbors, little gunfire at night) four years ago for an affordable $225K. Four bedroom, two bath, two car garage and a decent back yard.
