A block north of Roosevelt, directly behind the new Dominick's. You know the area?

Very familar with it.....That Dominicks is nice.....Havent been there in a year or so, but I do recall the walk in beer cooler and the good selection of beer. Right down from the old Monastary. (sp?)

Don't know about a monastery, you won't find me in many of those. :-) I moved to Barrington four years ago, but living in that Glen Ellyn house for seven bachelor years.

The Monastery was closed, but it was a rather large building in the MaryKnoll subdivision, which was on the south side of Roosevelt.

Now, now, now. If everyone keeps this up not
only will I get no applicants, but my existing
crew will leave. Stop it. I feel like moving
after all that; sheesh.

Chicago is the land of:

Hot dogs with no ketchup.

As far as I can tell, he's not
trying to get rid of bars; that would provoke
riots that would make 1968 pale in comparison.

Is there any other way to have a hot dog?
Don't forget the Cellery Salt!

My dad had a dry cleaners just at the edge of Old Town that got burned down in 68.

I'd be interested if things die here in the lower suburbs SW side, but as of lately we only have a slight lul..(meaning we have time for lunch)...

I've been through there for a few installs in your neighborhood, not bad as long as you get south on 59 before 4:30p.m. otherwise its full of Soccer Moms and such..........

Keep me posted, everything always changes.............

That's why I specified NW suburbs. There's no point in having an employee who needs to invest 3+ hours a day to get to and from work; it makes no sense.

I actually live in the area closer to you........Takes me 35 minutes to make it to The Barrington CC near some of my installs....

I only install in the SW suburbs............"if things die here in the lower suburbs SW side"...this would be the location of my working area.

I could have also stated if things die down in the illinois area, thus generalizing the entire situation.

Apologies for not being more specific....

As long as this has swung off topic...

I was in Chicago and suburbs on Tuesday. When we merged onto the tollway from Dempster we saw two coyotes running around. I lived in Chicago for ten years and I never saw anything wilder than the occasional deer...

Jeff

PS, I've met Owen, he's a great guy and any skilled installers looking for work should contact him. You could do much worse...

Coyotes are everywhere around here; I've heard them howling in the night from my bedroom window. See 'em all the time. I'm happy my dog will be larger than a coyote by the time spring comes around...

I saw a couple of HUGE coyotes in Schaumburg a couple of years ago out by the Hoffman Estates side.

Owen has a great company and has been going strong for as long as I can remember...

For the record, I am a member of the 3 hr. daily commute club...

You should have your head examined, by the way. I drive over 90 early in the morning some times, and see that loooong string of cars idling east. Having had a long commute for most of my professional life, I feel for you, but 3 flippin hours?

I meant 3 hrs. total... I hope everyone caught that.
The mornings are 80-100 minutes and the evenings are 75-90 minutes.

I do not have the longest time commute oif the people in our company, but I do have the highest mileage commute.

All of that travel is insane. I moved out to Colorado to get away from all of that. I have lived in Miami, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Minneapolis and a handful of other places as well. All of those places suck for travel. My average commute is under 20 minutes. And I don't have to suck in exhaust fumes either. I feel for you guys with all that travel.
