Do you work in one of those mall stores that sell to the uneducated, who think the laws of physics don't apply to mini-cubes, and like them because they're so cute???

Larry I am shocked at your tone!!!!! I bet you say if it has no high's or lows it must be Bose. :)

Poor guy doesn't know how most of us feel about Blose.

Blose LOL
Has anyone else noticed how these blose custom installers ar pretty damn proud of their blose ?
blose must have developed one HELL of a sales pitch to these poor uninformed retailers .

BOSE ALL HIGH'S NO LOW'S (pricing included)

So what they perfected a 5th order type enclosure for their wave crap .
We were doing 5th orders in cars in the eighties .

Since when does Bose have a product that is worth custom installation? Ever see any stats on their products?

twix, I hope you're wearing your flak jacket, 'cause the ride is going to get a little bumpy after mentioning the "B" word.

I'll bet Twix would have gotten a nicer reception here if he had announced he sold drugs, LOL.

Twix, We don't sell BOSE because it stands for Box Of Shit Electronics.

OK, now that I couldn't resist jumping on the bandwagon - Twix, I would be happy to share my experiences but I'm not a BOSE dealer. However, I would be interested in hearing about your experiences. How does BOSE support and help you and how do you like working with the product? Is it an easy sell to your customers? Do you sell other products? What lead you to sell BOSE (versus something else)?

On a serious note guys, some of the posts above go beyond suggesting that BOSE isn't good to suggesting that anyone that sells them has to be a dork/uninformed etc. There is obviously a HUGE demand for the product and enterprising individuals are going to fill that demand. I know a guy in a big city that works with developers and sells thousands of BOSE systems in high rise condos. He's laughing all the way to the bank.

Gentleman,

Thanks for the response, I have to give you a little back ground, I have 18 some years in the business.
We are a custom audio video retailer in Montreal Canada. Twix is the name of my dog ( no he does not like Bose!).
We carry McIntosh,Rotel, Nakamichi etc.. but Bose was a line that we constantly had to answer too. "I saw a Bose system I liked" etc,etc and i got fed up so I brought the line in last year. Now you sceptics should remember something, sometimes the person wants someting simple and smart, that's it!!! We are not the end user!
The custom stuff is different though ( I guess!).

I hate the idea of electrical contractors selling the stuff as per that thread (Barry Shaw) sent to me.

How do you think I think of Bose when I am McIntosh dealer also? Talk about extremes!

As I tell people, Bose is a system for music like Bang & Olfsen but significantly less priced.

Thanks QQQ you see the light!

Twix.

I definitely know where you are coming from Twix. I used to work retail many moons ago and I got sooo sick of people coming in and asking for BOSE... Trying to convince them that it wasn't Le Creme de le Creme was often like talking to a brick wall. In fact, as you probably know, now (that you sell the product) you can more effectively get people to open up their ears and buy something else, because they can now compare BOSE to something else you sell [and the customer nows gives you more "credibility" (since you sell BOSE) if you recommend something else].

Once again, Bose deployed as a sales tool for future upgrades once the customers "sees (hears?) the light".

A truly innovative marketing strategy, with one truly evil side effect: Bose makes a sale, and keeps making more of that junk.

Like I said in the other thread, my friend A/B's them beside small (often less expensive) NHT, Klipsch, and Paradigm "mini's". He doesn't even sell Blows. If they haven't been diverted away from Blows after his demo, they couldn't find their ass if they had a bell in their back pocket.

I didn't read the other thread but buying a pair (as a non-dealer) so you can give customers a demo against them is a damn good idea.
