Did you name your dog after a candy bar before or after he left his first Bose on your lawn?

I just can't believe that after you have given a demo of a system that costs LESS than a Bose system and sounds 10 times better that people still argue with you.

Goes to show you that great marketing and the general publics lack of ear training does. If only more people knew what sound should 'sound' like.

I can believe it. What you're saying is not much different from a person that prefers filet mignons and just can't fathom why ANYONE would prefer hamburgers. I could come up with a hundred more analogies but I'll leave it at one.

BOSE IS a great marketing machine. But what their detractors always overlook is the possibility that just maybe they have caught on to something and really do know the sound that a lot of people prefer, regardless of whether the sound is even close to accurate. Breasts filled with silicon aren't the real thing either but a lot of us men still like them, don't we? Maybe it's the same for a lot of people who like BOSE. How's that for an analogy?

And no one even mentioned energy which is a less expensive better sounding alternative .
Ok I guess there might be quite a few crappy "theater in a box" solutions lol pioneer , sony , etc. you know the systems , receiver , speakers even speakerwires labled .
I think the energy's blow blose out of the water .

If your making your nut great good for you .
But my customers won't settle for blose .

So that's what you read into my comments? You're either having fun with me, in which case you're doing a good job, or you're so blinded by your own biases that you can't see beyond your own nose.

I don't sell BOSE and you wouldn't catch me putting it in my house if someone gave it to me for free. In terms of value I rank it with the "high-end" speakers sold out of the backs of vans.

That said, I am not so blinded by my own biases, that I can't see that they have addressed a major consumer demand, FIRST with regard to appearance AND second to sound. I have been in this business for over 15 years and have seen more than one consumer listen to a pair of good high-end speakers and state that they love and prefer the sound of the BOSE system. People don’t buy them because they think they sound crappy.

So I can either bury my head in the sand and insist that it is all marketing, or I can come to the conclusion that BOSE is on to something and has created a sound that is appealing to a lot of consumers, regardless of the fact that I consider it horrible sound. Now that does not mean that given the opportunity to hear what good sound is, many consumers would not choose a better option.

Apart from calling me a BOSE lover, is there any statement above that you think is not factual?

I can't stand Bose...let that be known. But some people DO want a system with just one control unit, that houses everything, and teeny tiny little speakers that can blend in or be hidden, while still producing better sound than your average TV speaker array. They're willing to pay a lot to get what's important to them...and it's not astonishing sound quality...it's the elegance. How many posts do you read about trying to get the RS232 on the Bose CD player to work with your IR controlled Bose receiver, using an ocelot so you can add RF control? None. For some people...they just don't want the hassle or the bulk. So they go with Blose...

It's funny that you say that because I was surprised when I noticed this post about 5 minutes ago from someone wanting to control a BOSE system with a Crestron system:

Just givin' you some crap QQQ....

It's more marketing than anything, if you tell someone something over and over again, they will start to believe it. Like how good Bose is....I do admit that their Wave radio sounds pretty good for what it is...

Bose is like riding a moped, both are fun until your friends see you!
