Actually, if you spend a little more, JVC has a $30K projector that is REALLY stunning.

How about HT500E or HT300E from Sim2
I'm always right. The only time I was wrong was the time that I thought, that I was wrong.

I'm pissed at Runco.

I did a theater/DA job for a client and they showed up with a 50" Runco set from Harveys. They were emphatic that 50" was to small and felt NEC I spec'd was junk. Needless to say I couldn't get any discrete ir codes for the Runco. They left me hangin. Believe it or not, I decided to not be a dick and calibrate the Runco set I didn't sell. It is nice though

On an interesting side note. Sharp seems to have fallen hugely in the FPTV market in the past 5 or 6 years.

I wonder if it's because they are so unreliable? !

I'm a BIG Runco fan. For the price stated the VX4000d would be my recomendation. 5 lens options, optical offsets (no stupid digital keystone needed, even though it has it) on both the verticall and horizontal make this a breeze to hang just about anywhere. External VHD proccessor, HD resolution and Multiple DVI ins (even SDI on request). As for discrete codes, they're all over the place including Runco's site (at least they used to be). The 43' and 50' are based on Pioneer panels and respond to the same remote codes - a little off topic, sorry.

!

I'd say that one out of every 3 that I sold developed problems in the LCD panels within the first 2 or 3 years.

I thought that it was just me.

Sam(Runco) 'builds' some decent stuff. But, he's not a manufacturer.
Kind of like Calloway 'vette's.
He 'tweaks' an existing 'platform' and has little control over discrete codes, etc.
I survived one of his 'training party's', barely, and did learn quite a bit!!

If your sattisfied with a stock corvette, look elsware. If you need something 'faster' give runco a call.

But, its still basically the same machine he started with! It just 'runs' better!

Hot roding for the AV world!
