WOW - I can't believe nobody mentioned the InFocus
777. Are you all aware of this powerhouse? Check
it out...I've seen this baby in action and I can't
imagine picture getting any better than this.

How 'bout it?

Isn't it about 10 grand over the price point were talking about.

Wow - I'm stunned to see this comment. I saw the Dreamvision projector at CEDIAand it was absolutely the worst image i have ever seen in my life. I assume that it must have been broke or something since it was so bad - I was embarrased for them. We used to be Dreamvision dealers about 4-5 years ago but decided to pick up Sim-2 and we're pretty happy with them. The best projector that I have seen, IMO, was the Sim2 HT500 E Link.

I sell and/or have installed most of the above-mentioned
projectors, the sharp's the Dwin's the Sim2's
and so forth are all great performing projectors,
but after a zillion A/B tests, none of them (except
for the 3 chips) beat the Dreamvision Dreamweaver
HD2 plus for picture quality and customer service.
I always tell potential customers to go and look
at all of the above mentioned projectors first,
which they usually do, and then I show them the
Dreamweaver, almost every single one of them decide
to buy the Dreamweaver in the first 30 seconds,
the funny thing is they always mention how bad
the Runcos are by comparison.

After about a 70% failure rate with a projector from a company that is only about five miles away. (Biggest fixed-pixel mfg on the planet, mentioned several times already in this thread), we had to make a change. We picked up sim2, and the product rocks. The HT300e is absolutely magnificent, and the new color wheel is very impressive. People who are sensitive to the dreaded "rainbow effect" can actually watch an action flick on this without getting dizzy.

I have used the Sim2 in several projects as well, awsome piece. Easy to automate with the prontos as well. No service issues either. (hope I did not curse myself here)

Which projector were you looking at Cedia? Was it the Dreamy? Or one of the Dreamweavers, perhaps it was just bad source material in either event something must have been wrong with the setup, because I honestly don’t have to sell these things, I always tell the skeptical customers to go to all of the big local stores and see the top end stuff for them selves and then I show them a Dreamweaver plus, every one of them has bought the Dreamweaver over pretty much every projector mentioned in this forum. The Sim2 is a beautiful projector and I would opt to sell them except Dreamvision’s service department is way better.

I saw that same demo at Cedia and was not impressed. We are a Dream Vision dealer and had already seen all of the product they had there under different circumstances. The Dreamweaver plus is a great projector for the money and does look very good.
I will agree with their tech support comments. Hands down, they are the best we have worked with. Always able to get a tech or at the worst a call back within an hour.
