It will be interesting to see where the majority of these mass graves will be. Red states, with republican governors, seem to be the slowest to respond with stay-at-home orders. The governor of Florida waited until today to do anything (too little, too late), and the idiot governor of Georgia announces a stay-at-home order today because, and I can hardly believe I'm typing this, he said "Just found out that people can spread this virus without knowing they're infected!" Apparently stupidity runs rampant through University in Texas.

Students ignore travel ban and go to Mexico for spring break, and now have virus.

How does this happen?
First you have a travel ban in place.
You have news being reported all over the place about how bad this is and the only way to help make it any better is to self isolate and use social distancing.
You have a university that should be trying to protect it's students by making sure they are aware of how bad things are / could get. (A university, isn't this a place where people are supposed to be relatively smart?)
And as a last line, these kids all have parents that should have put their foot down and said no.
I wonder how many people those kids have infected?

One story is that the vacation company they used would not issue refunds so they went. not smart, but college kids aren't always smart.

What amazes me about this whole thing is that it appears that 90% of Americans (In the best economy in the history of whatever) don't have enough savings to bridge 30-90 (estimated) days of no paycheck.

Any why are people on social security (or any gov't provided fixed income) getting stimulus checks? their income should not have changed at all thru this? oh, I know.....they vote..

Saving used to be a given.

My folks got me a passbook savings account when I was under 10 years old. I watched it grow.

When I wanted to buy something fun, I just had to keep delivering papers or cutting lawns until I had enough money to buy it. That mindset is gone.

Now you put it on the charge card and Assuuume you will be able to pay it off later.

That in a nutshell folks, is the reason for all of our financial woes.
