I've been pleased with this headlamp, around the house.

My boss has used the Veto Pro XL for a while now. It's an amazing Tool Bag! I personally use this one .

He raids mine all of the time so he doesn't have to go out to the truck for fittings and such. The 2 plastic container compartment in mine are AWESOME!

But, mine is HEAVY as hell and a lot bulkier too! For light jobs the Veto is way better! But for being completely prepared for anything, I prefer my Husky only because it holds more stuff. I think both bags are the shiz....

Once a year I get excited to build a new bag. I literally could barley sleep on Friday when I got this bag. I couldn't wait till Saturday morning to put it all together. I know. Dork. Guess its all about the "white van lifestyle". Lol.

i CANNOT WAIT for my bag to come in, should be here monday :)

crazy the things we get excited over huh?

And it has five Feet. I wonder if that improves the sound?

Surprised I haven't seen a tool BELT discussion.

I think most people are relying on cargo pants and sweatshirt pockets, but a well-designed belt would save time. You don't typically slog the bag all over the house. Bag enters the house, opened, and select tools are removed. Sure, you keep it close, if other trades are around, but it usually stays put and you move around a lot.

The only tool "belt" I would consider would be something akin to Batman's utility belt! It would need all the nifty comic book gadgets in it as well.

I cannot count how many electrician, HVAC guys, or contractors I have seen wielding large tool belts with hammers, drills, etc. swinging around and knocking into doorways, furniture, cars, pets, kids, etc. You get the picture. We do not wear them here for that reason. Plus who wants to carry that much crap all the time? There are not very many tasks I do on a day to day basis that require more than a handful of tools at a time. I have no need to have my entire tool collection at arms reach at all times.

I do like the Veto add on pouches though. They allow you to carry a small amount of tools. Handy. My next tool storage device will definitely be a Veto!

I have one of these that I use for pre-wires(along with an add on drill holster).

I've never used it inside a finished home.

I do have a smaller pouch that I use when trimming out panels.
It's big enough to hold strippers, crimpers,a punch down tool, and a screwdriver.

I hear you!
The belt usually only holds my drill,a couple bits, wire strippers,a screwdriver or two,and a tape measure.

I gave up the 50lb tool belt thing a few years ago.....it's still nice having all of the extra room to hold things like staples, screws, etc.

I've found I can hold everything I usually need for a rough in in an old style cloth apron. Staples and measuring tape in the pockets, slip a hammer between the string and my waist, and my strippers go in the tool pocket on my pants. Although, they could go in the apron with the tape.

Whatever works for you.

Aprons remind me of tossing everything in a big bag and then rummaging through it to find what your looking for.

I'm not saying its wrong,it just doesn't work for me.
I need to have a spot for everything and everything in its spot otherwise I go nuts.

CRAP!!

Does that mean I'm anal? ;-)
