I used to have the same issue. Then I realized I didn't need 90% of the stuff I was carrying in a belt.
Civil War reenactment is LARPing for people with no imagination.

Belts are just dangerous unless its a prewire, but even then I'm jumping in rafters or under houses so much that it just becomes more of a hassle. We use small zip up pouches for rough in, that can be on a belt, but no big pouch belts.

We do a lot of rough in also and would never try wearing bags through a house.

I still find myself using this more than anything.

Use this for rough in

And this is a service bag that might replace the electrician bag, but I don't like how the zip top folds in. However neither are perfect and I wish Veto Pro would make one.

If you don't stop and look around once in a while, life will pass you by.

I call these (all types/sizes) "pouches" because thats what my uncles/grandfather always called them when they were roofers.

I load it up with my most commonly used hand tools while trimming a project. Much lighter/smaller so im more likely to have it with me when i head to one end of the house or the other. I usually just put it on the floor where i am working. Occasionally i will attach it to my belt but only if im going to be changing tools frequently like when terminating cables at a data plate.

Avid Stamp Collector - I really love 39 Cent Stamps
