We've had several repaired under warranty for hdmi issues.

Our one and only Integra receiver is being picked up in the AM for reinstallation.

Bad HDMI board, bad network board.

Onkyo/Integra has a long history of issues with HDMI, going back to the 50.1. Company I worked for sold like 8-10 of them when they first came out. I must have installed 20 of them between replacements and repairs.

Here is a nice Onkyo/Integra story for you. First off we were let go as Integra dealers about year and half ago because we "didn't sell evenly across the line." As much as that sucked, we decided to pick up Onkyo since it is the next best thing to Integra you would think. So we did 09 series and all seemed well. Fast forward a year and it seems like probably half of them have failed in one way or another, and the most recent gem is a 609 that went in for repair for a bad HDMI board surprise surprise, barely out of warranty, and historically these repairs have been in the neighborhood of $120-150. Nope, not this time, it's $295 plus shipping both ways. What was dealer cost on a Marantz NR1603 again? Great job Onkyo/Integra, you found a surefire way to make sure I never sell or recommend one again.

I have a DHC 80.3 that just had an HDMI board failure. Glad it has a 3-year warranty.

Total garbage.....I have lost so much time rolling vans to Onkyo/ Integra hdmi issues, I lost count. Moral of the story is, DONT sell any brand that you dont have a great relationship with the "higher-ups". I found out really quickly that the Onkyo brass only cared about moving plenty boxes...
Every call I had with the "Regional" they could care less about our "small-issues".
I had the main guy for Onkyo-USA tell me "they had to sell the current stock and fix issues later". I thought he was kidding but he was serious. He also said the "Japenese" were well aware of the hdmi issues but would try to fix it on the next series.
NEVER AGAIN.

are you saying it was not fixed on the .4 and .5 series???? Please say your kidding. I've replaced over half of the .2 and .3 for HDMI issues. No .4 or .5. Am I wrong to assume they fuggin fixed this KNOWN issue after .3?? Maybe Im being foolish as they knew of the issue with .2 and .3 didn't fix it. Its hurting them for sure.

Guys, 90% of the time a "proper" firmware update will fix any HDMI issues.

We moved into the Aventage line of product from Yamaha. We dropped Onkyo. I am going to install 2 Onkyo receivers tomorrow that have been repaired and by the way onkyo is now adding a one time HDMI fix on bad receivers. Yamaha is a really good product with 0 issues to date. maybe 30 units in the field now.

90% of the time is pure BS. SO NOT THE CASE. When it dies, it dies. No firmware updates via network OR USB. Where are you getting this 90% dung. If that's your success rate, then super. My success is when the HDMI dies, it takes down so much more than the HDMI. I assume the network connection is on the same board or something like that. Weve not stopped using Integra but if a .4 or .5 fails, we are so outta there.
